The First Annual Sweet Wishes Cafe' Golden Cupcake Awards

TASTY AWARDS 2012

Your flavor could take the cake! 

Submit your original cupcake flavor idea via this online submission form by close of business on Saturday, July 7.  Each submission includes a not-for-profit Cause to benefit from the sale of all the cupcakes in the competition. 

During the week of July 9-13, a panel of judges will select flavors based on the name and the description submitted.  The Sweet Wishes gourmet chef will bake those selections for tasting by the judging panel, who will select the top six flavors.  The 6 semi-final flavors and the chosen Cause of each submitter will be announced on Saturday, July 13 here on SweetWishesCafe.com and on our Facebook, Twitter and Flickr pages with photos of the cupcakes, the submitter’s name, and the chosen Cause of each submission. 

The six semi-final flavors will be available at Sweet Wishes Café for a week at a time.  A custom topper will be commissioned for each of the 6 semi-final flavors.  Each of these cupcakes purchased will send 1 vote to that cupcake flavor, and $1 to be given as a cash donation to the grand prize winner’s Cause.  

Each week between July 16 and August 4, two randomly selected flavors of the six semi-finalists will be paired in head-to-head competition, with a winner each week.  We will post a leader board of standings so that you can watch the competition live.  These winners will go on to the championship round – The Tasty Finale.

The week of August 6-11, the three semi-final winners will face-off in the Tasty Finale for a single winning flavor.  The Cause chosen by the winning submission is the winner of the cash prize.  

On Saturday, August 11, Sweet Wishes Café will host a party to announce the TASTY AWARD WINNER and present the winner’s chosen Cause with the prize money.

The champion cupcake flavor will be offered on a regular basis at Sweet Wishes Café for the remainder of the year, and $1 from each cupcake purchased will go to benefit the winning Cause.

Watch for the flavors to be announced, then VOTE for your favorite cupcake flavor by purchasing that flavor.  If you plan to purchase quantities, please schedule ahead so our bakers can start early!
